Interviewing 'elite' groups

In this session Neil Perkins considered some of the challenge involved in gaining access to high ranking members of organisations such as chief executives, local politicians, chairs of CCGs etc.

He discussed strategies for negotiating access into organisations; some of the ethical issues raised in these contexts; the importance of presentation of self; and making the most of limited time.

Neil draws on his own extensive research experience in local government settings.
